Nikon E digital camara. Camara turns on, everything looks good, shutter opens but only see black through the view finder, monitor and will only take black pictures. I tried all the other modes and was able to use in in C1 but then I was messing around with that and now won't work in that either. Thank you for your help. My Pentax Optio A20 camera display doesn't show true colors, they now have a red-orange tint. It was dropped on the grass yesterday. When I play back the pictures, all of them show up as red-orange on the display, the ones I took before it was dropped and after it was dropped. Everything else works fine on the camera. My brother-in-law says that there may be a reset button to restore factory settings.
It sounds like you may have a broken display. It is possible that it is the main board, but much more likely that it is the LCD display. Problem is that on second 3 the camera screen has switched to saying PC Mode, even though it is most definitely not attached to the computer. I have tried removing the battery and the cards and putting them back in, and still only get PC Mode. Someone said something on another board about possibly a reset button, but I don't know if the sony dsc-s50 has one. Higher resolution I dont have high enough resolution set i suppose?..
